Shoto doesn't have many people he knows here, and it's taken him a while to figure out how to get all the things he's wanted to where the other side is concerned. At least with a few of them he knows where they live (ominous?) and unfortunately for Rem, she'll have to rely on what constitutes the postal system.

It may mean a few of the attempted cookies were cracked, which may be a service to them. Their edges are very brown, very... well cooked, or that the letter inside is a little smushed, but he's done it anyway.

I decided this year for my birthday that I would give everyone else who I know something. I tried to bake these, but I have been banned from our kitchen so I had to improvise.

Thank you for helping me last week. I was able to reach a personal goal because of it and hope that this is going to convey my gratitude.

I would gladly fight along side you again, or maybe we could visit somewhere together some time? There's neutral grounds we should be able to meet on.

[It had been a harrowing day. Not only having to fight off that fire horse, but discovering that Rem was using souls and planned to use them in that relic she was trying to make her strong... Not to mention that she had died in her world prior which is what instigated this entire thing. Yet he knows that's only scratching the surface of this giant iceberg, so even after using the Ring of Returning to take them back to the Enterprise II, he encourages her to use one of the many spare rooms they still have to clean up and just rest. It was already near evening, anyway, and with her clearly exhausted, it would do no good to dive into these topics as is.

So he makes sure Rem has everything she needs—fresh clothes, water, and some light food. If she wishes to eat with the rest of the crew that return to the ship rather than staying on one of the many lodgings in Avaleci, she is more than welcome to do so. If she wishes to be alone, then he just makes sure she has it all in her room.

But most importantly, she reassures her that she will be safe and that regardless what happens—he's on her side, and he just wants to help her find a better solution to what she's trying to do.

Once night passes and the sun has risen, he'll check on her, hoping she didn't decide to try and run away. He's experienced that enough with Benedikta, that he wouldn't be so surprised if Rem did the same. But he is reassured when she is there, and he invites her to his quarters on the top deck when she's ready. And when she is, she'll find the door unlocked as he beckons her in. Cid himself will be sitting at his desk in the back, the windows open to allow the cooler breeze to flow through as he reads through some documents, papers with various designs and schematics scattered over his desk.

Even on a trip like this, he always has something to work on. Though undoubtedly, one of those papers will have notes about what she's told him.]

[ For obvious reasons, he hadn't been able to follow up on her last message. But now that the matter of the fire horse seems to be resolved, he seeks Rem out (she can't escape his eyes!). ]
